KK County Team U-16 trials.

Details for the 2023 KK U-16 County Teams is as follows:
There will be two squads (A & B) selected to compete at U-16 county level in 2023 (as happened in 2022). Each squad will comprise of a maximum of thirty (30) players. The B squad will play in a Division 2 Leinster Championship only and this Championship should finish by late May ’23. The A squad will play in the Div 1 Leinster Championship and also progress to play in the Div 1 All Ireland series and this Championship should finish by the end of July ’23. 
Trials for both squads will take place on the morning of Sat 3rd Dec and Sat 10th Dec ’22. The location for the trials will be Callan CBS grounds. There will be three trial sessions each Sat morning at 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am respectively and nominated players will be required to attend one of these three sessions each Sat morning to be considered.  
Any club players aged 15 or 16 (i.e. born in 2007 or 2008) interested in participating in the 2023 U-16 programme can now submit their name for trials through their Club Secretaries directly to the KK U-16 Manager Canice Brennan at the following email address (canicebrennan@hotmail.com).  The deadline for Club Secretaries to send in names to the U-16 manager is Wed evening (30th Nov) 9pm. Thereafter, please keep an eye on the KK Development webpage from the afternoon of Thurs 1st Dec where each player nominated by their club will be given their time slot for the first trial on Sat morning 3rd Dec. 
Training for the sixty (60) players selected will commence on Sat 17th Dec and each Sat morning thereafter up to 7th Jan, and this training will be mostly based on strength and conditioning over this 4-week period. From 7th Jan each squad will train twice weekly on a Sat morning and a Mon/Tues evening with further details to be given out to squad members once training commences in Dec. 
Players and Parents/Guardians of 15-year-old players please note the following:
Any player aged 15-year-olds (i.e. born in 2008) and interested in participating at U-16 level in 2023 needs to be aware of the following Camogie Association rule governing participation in the U-16 county squads’ programme. Players only aged 15-years-old selected for the any county U-16 squad and who subsequently play in any U-16 Championship game (A or B team) will not be able to return to play with the U-15 Development squad programme in 2023. Therefore, you can realistically only play at one county grade either U-15 or U-16 in 2023.
