25th May 2018
Leinster Senior Camogie Championship Final
Kilkenny vs. Offaly
Venue: St Brendans Park, Birr, Offaly 4pmĀ Referee: Gavin Donegan
The Kilkenny senior team will hope to capatilize on their Leinster semi-final win over Wexford when they take on Offaly in a repeat of the Leinster Senior final in Birr on Saturday.
The Kilkenny side had a comfortable win over Wexford two weeks ago in the Leinster semi-final on a 5-13 to 0-12 score line. Offaly, had a goal to spare over Dublin in the other semi finals after a spirited display on a 1-14 to 2-08 score line.
The last time the sides met was in this Final last year where Kilkenny edged the Faithful side by the narrowest of margins. There will be some extra spice to the game with Kilkenny Winning Intermediate manager from 2016 Mike Wall at the helm. Kilkenny will be in no doubt that this will be a stiffer test than Wexford with players from Offaly like Mickaela Mokan, Tina Hannon and Jean Brady to name a few who will be trying to dethrone the Kittens and win their very first Senior Leinster Title. Kilkenny will be trying to make it back to back wins in this competition and build on it going into the Championship game against Limerick on June 9th.
Kilkenny have 19 titles in this competition and will hope to make it 21 on Saturday. Throw in is at 4pm.
