Mullinavat 2-5
Thomastown will face Dicksboro in the County Senior Final after they beat a determined Mullinavat side in a tough semi-final
Thomastown were quick off the mark, opening the scoring with points through Eimear Donnelly & Eimear Farrell. A Michelle Quilty point got Mullinavat up and running
The ‘Town hit back on the treble, adding three points by the 13th minute, through the Farrell sisters, Meighan, Anna & Eimear. Another Anna Farrell point split two Mullinavat like scores by Julie Ann Malone and Miriam Frisby – then the ‘Vat look over
Michelle Quilty was at the heart of it, scoring a goal and a point to shoot her side ahead. The goal came after Quilty had knocked down an Elaine Alyward free, swapped passes with Julie Ann Malone and doubled on sliotar first time, sending it high into the top corner of the net
Right on the stroke of half time, Niamh Donnelly equalised from a free. At the break it was Thomastown 0-7 Mullinavat 1-4
Thomastown were quickly back in front in the second half. Jenny Reddy gave them a dream start, running at the ‘Vat defence before hand-passing the sliotar over the advancing ‘keeper

In the 57th minute, Mullinavat got a goal back, through Julie Ann Malone, after she had doubled on the sliotar from an Elaine Alyward free
