Seniors bounce back in style for easy win over Dublin

All-Ireland Champions, Kilkenny bounced back after suffering defeat to Wexford to comfortably beat Dublin in Division One of the Senior League
This third round clash on Sunday (12th March) in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh was a one sided affair
Kilkenny opened the scoring with point from Kelly Ann Doyle. This was followed by a well taken goal by Davina Tobin, who had started in defence and as the ball was played forward, continued her run before finishing to the net. Alison Maguire (D) replied with two points from placed balls to get her side going
Kilkenny scored 1-4 without reply between the ninth & 27th minutes through Michelle Quilty (4 points, 3 frees) and a well taken goal by Katie Power. The blast left the score: Kilkenny 2-5 Dublin 0-2
Claire Donnelly (D) stopped the rot with a point in the 30th minute, to leave the half time score Kilkenny 2-5 Dublin 0-3
The action was all one-way traffic after the resumption
Quilty on the charge
Michelle Quilty tacked on another five points, while minors from Katie Power, Kelly Anne Doyle, Aine Gannon & Jenny Reddy added to the impressive tally. Alison Maguire registered Dublin’s only second half score from a free.
