Liberty Insurance Intermediate Camogie Championship Group 1
Antrim vs Kilkenny
Venue: Tir na nOg-Randalstown 2.30pm Referee: Philip McDonald

The Kilkenny intermediate team will hope to make it two wins from two when they make the long trek to take on Antrim in Tir na nOg-Randalstown at 2.30pm on Saturday.

The Kilkenny side made the perfect start to the All-Ireland series when they easily accounted for Tipperary on 5-18 to 0-11-point score line in Danesfort on Saturday last to sit proudly on the top of the table ahead of Saturday opponents Antrim and Laois on score difference on three points.

Antrim are having a mixed campaign so far recording one win and one loss. They began the campaign with an opening day loss away to Laois 4-09 to 2-06. They bounced back from this loss with a good victory last weekend at home to Wexford on a 4-16 to 2-11 score line.

This is a must win game for both sides on Saturday as it will put them on six points and at the summit of the table and keep the hope of a semi-final spot alive with joint leaders Laois travelling to take on Wexford, with one would suspecting the O’Moore county securing maximum points.

Antrim have very talented players among their ranks with Racquel McCarry, Emma McMullan, Shauna Devlin and Orlagh O’Hara all in fine form for the Saffrons.

In saying this I feel Kilkenny are building up good steam and should record their second win of the campaign on Saturday.
