All Ireland Minor A Camogie Championship Group 1

Dublin            vs            Kilkenny

Venue: St Davids School, Artane 2pm Referee: Ray Kelly (Kildare)

The Kilkenny minor camogie team will hope to secure safe passage through to the All Ireland semi finals when they take on Dublin in Artane on Sunday.

The Kilkenny side backed up a good away win in round two to Clare with a hard fought victory over a brave Offaly 2-06 to 1-06 in Larchfield on Saturday last. This victory secured second place in the group table behind Tipperary who are undefeated so far and on nine points but level on six points with Clare, but Kilkenny have the better scoring advantage over the Banner County. This makes Sundays game all the more important as if the Metropolitans defeat Kilkenny they will be three teams level on six points apiece Kilkenny, Dublin and Clare.

Dublin are having a mixed campaign so far. They have won one game over Offaly 1-11 to 1-09 but have suffered defeats to Tipperary 1-10 to 1-04 and Clare 2-08 to 2-04. Dublin will provide a stern test to Kilkenny on Sunday, in saying this I feel Kilkenny are building up good momentum since there defeat to Tipperary in the opening round and I expect Kilkenny to claim victory but after a tough tussle.
