by on the 7th of October 2015

St Canices Kilkenny Credit Union Intermediate County Final
Rower Inistioge vs  Tullaroan
Venue:  Ballyhale 12:00pm     Referee: TBC
Rower Inistioge and Tullaroan will go to battle this Sunday afternoon to decide who will claim the Intermediate County Final at 12pm in Ballyhale.
After their semi final clash with St Brigid’s going to extra time for the second weekend in a row, it was Rower Inistioge who emerged victorious after a thrilling battle on a 3-10 to 3-08 score line. In the other semi final a fortnight ago Tullaroan made no mistakes when they bounce back from there league final defeat to St Brigid’s when they defeated Clara 5-17 to 3-08. This game had all the hallmarks of being a classic encounter with both teams processing great skills and scoring prowess among their ranks.
Both defenses will have to be on their toes with Tullaroan having to be aware of the threat that Lizzie Lyng, Christine Lyng and Aine Gannon processes. Similarly Rower Inistioge will have to be aware of the scoring prowess that Miriam Walsh, Noelle Maher and Rachel Buckley showed throughout the year. I know it is an overused term but I feel whichever defense is able to marshal the opposing forward could be well on their way to claiming the title. A classic encounter is to be expected and a game not to be missed

St.Canices Kilkenny Credit Union Junior County Final
Young Irelands vs Carrickshock
Venue:  Thomastown 11:30pm     Referee: TBC
Young Irelands and Carrickshock will go to battle to see who will claim the junior title for 2015 when they clash in Thomastown at 11.30am on Sunday.
Carrickshock progressed through to the final after recording victories over Thoamstown. Emeralds and Conahy Shamrocks last Sunday morning. Young Ireland’s the current league champions defeated O’ Loughlin Gaels in there semi final to secure their spot in Sundays showdown.

Both sides forward lines are in exceptional form with Sarah Ann Quinlan in terrific form for Young Ireland, similarly Mairead Power has being in exceptional form for Carrickshock.  Young Irelands will be the deserving favorites going into this tie with Carrickshock gunning to back up their previous round victorious with the ultimate crown on Sunday.

I feel the difference on Sunday could boil down to whoever makes the better start to the game and if it is close going into the final ten minutes it could be a matter of who wants it more.

Also on Sunday morning at 10.30am in Thomastown Young Irelands will take on  St Fiachras to see who will claim the St.Canices Kilkenny Credit Union U16 Roinn B League Final.

In the St Canices Kilkenny Credit Union Minor B Championship Semi-Final also on Sunday  Slieverue take on St.Brigids in Mullinavat at 11am. In the other semi final  Kilmacow take on  Windgap in Piltown at 11.30am.
A great day of camogie action is guaranteed so please support your clubs sides this weekend.
