Leinster Minor A Championship Final
Kilkenny vs Offaly
Venue: Rathdowney 1:30pm Referee: Brockan O’Reilly
All roads lead to Rathdowney this Saturday as the Kilkenny minor team hope to end the year in style and add the Leinster title to their collection when they take on Offaly at 1.30pm.
The Kilkenny minor side are in terrific form this year and brought this form into the Leinster campaign. They recorded comfortable wins over Wexford, Dublin, and Kildare but came up short over Saturdays opponents when a second half comeback by the Faithful stunned the Cats.
The Kilkenny side were very unlucky in last year’s decider when a gallant Wexford come back saw the Kilkenny side just come up short. Kilkenny are a different beast this year and ran through there All Ireland campaign undefeated and this cumulated in them regaining the All Ireland title over Tipperary in a thrilling final.
This game has all the hallmarks of being a classic with Kilkenny hoping to avenge their group stage defeat to Offaly, but Offaly will be all out to prove that there victory was not a once off. I just feel Kilkenny have the more potent forward line and should prevail but expect a close tight encounter.
