Clare next up for Seniors as Championship bid continues

The Kilkenny senior team will hope to continue their good vein of form when they entertain Clare in Freshford on Saturday. Kilkenny were impressive in their opening round win against Dublin last Saturday and will hope to make it two from two when they entertain the Banner ladies. The last time the two sides met was in the final round of the league where Kilkenny emerged easy winners on a 4-15 to 0-10 score line. Saturday’s contest will be Clare first match in the All Ireland series and they will hope to it the ground running. On paper it looks like second spot in the group will be a shootout between themselves, Tipperary, Derry or Dublin.  Clare have talented players among there ranks with Chloe Morey among the top forwards in the game both from play and from frees. Clare will provide a stern test for the Cats on Saturday but you would have to expect Kilkenny to record their second win.
