Kilkenny vs Clare (Sunday)

Venue: (Clonlara, 2.30pm) Referee: Mike O Kelly

The Kilkenny senior camogie team will hope to record their third win of the league campaign and secure passage through to the league semi finals when they travel to take on Clare on Sunday. Kilkenny bounced back brilliantly from their opening round loss to Cork by recording wins over Derry and Dublin and sit in second position in the table over Dublin on score difference. A victory over the Banner ladies on Sunday will ensure they make the semi finals.  Clare have only recorded one victory in the league campaign and that was over Derry the last day out. Clare would be disappointed with their league campaign this season after getting to the final last season. They lost some key players from last season and are in a rebuilding phase. Clare will provide a stern test for the Cats on Sunday but I feel Kilkenny will have a bit too much for the Banner and the drive to secure the semi final spot and a chance to defend their league crown could be the difference on Sunday.

Round 5

Kilkenny vs Cork (Sunday)

Venue: (Mooncoin, 2.30pm) Referee: Richard McNicholas

The Kilkenny Intermediate team will hope to bounce back from there lost to Waterford in the last round when they entertain Cork on Sunday.  Kilkenny made the perfect start to the league campaign when they recorded wins over Meath, Tipperary, and Down but came up short against Waterford. A victory over the Rebelettes on Sunday will ensure the team qualifies for the semi finals. Cork recorded an opening day win over Down but came up short against Waterford where time just ran out for them and received a walkover by Tipperary but suffered a single point loss to Meath the last day out. This game is very hard to call, on form you will have to fancy Kilkenny to claim their fourth win, but as with any Cork team it won’t be easy. This game had all the hallmarks of being a cracker and the drive to claim a semi final spot could see Kilkenny claim the win.

Minor A All Ireland Championship – Sighle Nic an Ultaigh

Round 5

Kilkenny vs Cork ( Saturday )

Venue: (Thomastown, 2.30pm) Referee: Aiden O Brien

The Kilkenny minor team will hope to make it four wins from four when they entertain Cork on Saturday. Kilkenny with their victory over Tipperary on Sunday have one foot in the All Ireland semi finals. Cork opened their account with a win over Wexford but were pipped at the post in their second game by Tipperary but bounced back with a win over Clare on Sunday.  Kilkenny will need a victory over the Rebelettes on Sunday to ensure they qualify for the semi finals.  With the form the Kilkenny team are in this season you would expect a Kilkenny victory on Saturday, but expect it to be a tight battle that could go down to the wire.
