Leinster Intermediate Championship
Preliminary Round
Kilkenny vs Dublin (Sunday)
Venue: (St. Davids CBS Artane Dublin, 2.30pm) Referee: Brockan O’Reilly
The Kilkenny Intermediate team will hope to bounce back from there League semi final loss to Laois when they take on Dublin in the Leinster Intermediate Championship Preliminary Round on Sunday. Kilkenny under new management this season have being in good form and have only suffered two losses to the aforementioned Laois and a group game against Waterford the eventual league champions. Dublin similar to Kilkenny had a disappointing conclusion to their league campaign suffering a final day loss to Carlow. Dublin will be a formidable force as with any side from the capital. Kilkenny will have to be aware of the scoring threat that Joeleen Hoary, Carolanne Canning, and Elaine Gallery process. In saying this I feel Kilkenny are a more balance side and having the possible inclusion of some of the victorious minor panel among their ranks will go from strength to strength as the year goes on. I feel the advantage of Kilkenny operating at a higher level in the league should see them past the Dubs on Sunday with a bit to spare.
